Here is one of the pendents I created for Christmas presents this year. This one has an etched key with a burgundy background, gold-time foil tap eand wire and crysta and garnet beads.
Here is another, this time with etched seashells, silver-tone foil tape and wire, and crystam and blue glass beads.
One more. This one is a single glass piece etched with a fairy shape, black tape and silver wire, crystal and blue glass beads. I really need to work on getting some better pictures of these!
*drink more water
*manage my money a tad better (or at least be able to account for more of it without some serious receipt research!)
So Christmas came and went with its usual whirlwind. I actually managed to get some decent work done the week we had off from the day-job, had all the presents crafted/bought and wrapped by the end of the 23rd and actually enjoyed cooking my part of Christmas dinner (desserts) on the 24th. Compared to last year it was much less hectic I think. Now just to make it through the next few weeks and life can resume its normal pace.
Now its time to start assembling my list of 2004 Intentions (my versio of New Year's Resolutions).
In 2004 I fully intend to:
*Go to the gym faithfully, even if I fail to see results.
*Manage my time better.
*(In accordance with asterisk number two) Scale down some of my committments to allow for increased productivity without the increased stress.
*Keep my supplies organized.
*Decorate at least half of the house to my liking.
That'll do for now, but I'm sure I'll add some more later.
You know, the only way I've had time to write this entry is because Abbie is taking a nap on my lap right now....I never imagined just how much time and energy it would take to "raise" a puppy...but the most shcoking thing is how little I am able to accomplish while having to keep an eye on her! At least with a human infant, they need constant care but they are not getting into every little thing! Most days are like exercises in damage control!
Granted, she's still the most adorable puppy ever (yes yes, bias admitted) and I do adore her (and V for getting her for me!) it's just taking some time to get accustomed to the new rules around the house. I still have to puppy-proof the office, but that's a long process...maybe for the bweek Im off for Christmas it will get tackled.
And speaking of Christmas!!! I have SO got to get going on the gifts. I have plans drawn up for the majority of them, now to just carve out the time to execute them. My last test is this Wednesday so after that I should be able to get some serious crafting done. I have two main projects for the gals on the list, and I'm still trying to figure out what all to do for V.
